Richard Higlett is an artist who has increasingly become engaged with the methodologies of the curator and the award will allow time out to investigate the practice of the 'artist as curator' through research and presentation.
"This is a fantastic opportunity to reconcile some fundamental questions in regards to my creative practice which is continually shifting in terms of definition. The time will allow me to meet and gather contacts nationally and internationally which I look to consolidate in the form of the curator lab. The aim here is to nurture links for collective benefit through creative international exchange."Creative Wales Awards 2013
